HAVE questions before you get started?
We've got answers! The can art may look good on the outside, but you want to know it's going to be just as good on the inside once you crack it open. We respect that.
Is there an app I can use?
Yes! You’ll be instructed to download the app when you sign up. App users will have the best experience, because the course content and downloads can be accessed from anywhere - the grocery store, your kitchen, a brewery...
Will I be able to ask questions?
Of course! Ask questions within the course or in the Craft My Balance community. Just remember that we cannot provide medical nutrition therapy as part of this course, so please do not ask questions that require consideration of your unique medical needs.
How long do I have access to the course?
Forever! Once you have paid in full, you will have access to the Craft My Balance course material and any future versions of the course for as long as it exists. For now, you will also have ongoing access to the course community, but that is subject to change as our community grows and the offerings within the community expand. For example, if we decide to add live group calls, live cooking demonstrations, and other valuable resources in the community group, we may transition to a monthly/annual membership model after course completion. You would be informed of any changes in advance via email.
What will I need to be able to access all of the course content?
You will need a computer or a mobile device. If you choose to print any of the course materials, you would also need access to a printer, but our course workbook, and blank grocery list and meal guide templates are available as editable PDFs.
What will I need to be able to prepare the meals in the Meal Prep Pilot Project?
You will need access to a grocery store or grocery delivery service and a kitchen with basic appliances and cooking equipment. You do not need access to an air-fryer, Instapot, rice cooker, etc. but if you'd like to use those appliances instead of the cooking methods described, you certainly can. If you choose to try any of the suggested beer pairings, you should be able to find most of the beer styles included at a local brewery, bottleshop, beer distributor, or grocery store depending on your location.
What is your return policy?
Due to the nature of this digital product, we do not offer refunds. Please review our FAQs and contact us at nutritionontap@craftmybalance.com with any additional questions prior to purchasing to be sure this course is right for you. We also invite you to provide feedback so that we can continue to improve this course, which will ultimately benefit you given our lifetime access policy.
How much time should I expect the course to take?
The course is designed to take a minimum of 12 weeks, or 2 weeks per module for 6 modules. Each module consists of about 45 minutes of video lessons, and you should plan some extra time to put your learning into practice and to plan and start prepping some meal components for the week.
Did you use AI (artificial intelligence) to make this course?
None of the course content was created using AI. We occasionally consult AI to help us brainstorm creative language to use on our website or in our emails, or to summarize course content that has already been created.
What is an equitable pricing (sliding scale) model?
This is an economic justice tool based on the Worts + Cunning Apothecary sliding scale by Alexis J. Cunningfolk linked here.
Do you offer an affiliate program for content creators who want to share their Craft My Balance experience with their social media followers?
Yes! If you have an engaged following of folks who are of legal drinking age, you may be eligible to become an affiliate after purchasing and completing the course. Contact us at nutritionontap@craftmybalance.com for details.
Does the Meal Prep Pilot Project accommodate people with certain dietary restrictions/preferences?
12/12 breakfasts, 11/12 snacks, 10/12 Happy Hour snacks, 6/12 lunches, 10/48 dinners, and 12/12 desserts are vegetarian. "Brew Your Own" suggestions are available to make the rest of the dinners plant-based. If you have any food allergies/intolerances or medical conditions with dietary restrictions, consult your healthcare provider to determine if/how the recipes can be adapted to meet your unique needs. If you have questions about how to modify the recipes/meal ideas to suit your personal preferences or the ingredients you have on hand (beyond the suggestions already provided) just ask us/the Craft My Balance community!
Does the Meal Prep Pilot Project list nutrition information for each recipe?
Craft My Balance is NOT a diet or weight loss plan. The Meal Prep Pilot Project intentionally does not include nutrition information (calories, macros, etc.), partly because it would be highly inaccurate without requiring you to buy certain brands of ingredients, but mostly because that external information can distract you from listening to your internal cues. If you are looking for help restricting your dietary intake specifically to change the weight/shape of your body, this is not the course for you. If you are open to a mindful & intuitive approach to eating, drinking, and moving that may or may not change how your body looks but is absolutely intended to support your actual physical and mental health and how you feel in your body, you are in the right place.
What if I am re-evaluating my alcohol intake but I prefer alcoholic beverages other than craft beer, such as cider, wine, hard seltzer, or spirits?
Craft My Balance is designed with craft beer drinkers in mind, but many of the key takeaways from the course and most of the discussion around alcohol and health applies to all types of alcohol, not just craft beer.
